History
Chateau Crawhez was built in 1551 by Baron de Crawhez. With a history of more than 450 years, this Jewel of the Herver Land has had many owners over the years, ranging from private individuals to nobility. Among them were the mayor of Clermont, Monsieur de Bragard and the Nagelmackers, a banking family from Liege.
The business partners Erich Wagemanns and Joachim Lück obtained Chateau Crawhez in 1996 and initially used it for private living purposes.
At the end of 2006 the renovation of the total venue into a hotel with wellness-area and 2 restaurants started. Guests can expect a unique and carefully balanced combination of historical buildings and modern atmosphere.
